The 72 m² is the size where the UNICEF HPT becomes structural infrastructure rather than a temporary teaching shelter. Camp managers use it for assembly halls during community engagements, vaccination distribution, parent-teacher meetings, and feeding-programme distributions. The cold-chain warehouse use case has grown sharply in the last five years as country offices push to keep nutrition product and EPI vaccines under canvas-stable temperatures during onward distribution from the regional hub.
Pallet-door clearance is the spec to remember for warehouse use. A standard side-entry door does not clear a fork-lift; BNC's 72 m² ships with a wide-mouth door option (1.8 m × 2.0 m clearance) that admits standard fork-lifts and pallet trolleys. Specify at order time — retrofit on site is more difficult than fitting at the factory.
Frame engineering matters most at this size. A 72 m² footprint has roughly 4× the ridge-load of a 24 m² unit; BNC uses multi-point braced ridge tubing, intermediate cross-bracing, and twin-pole standard placement to spread the load. The optional warehouse-grade ground cloth (heavy PVC, fully welded) seals the unit for pallet storage without ground-moisture wicking up into the canvas wall.
