The MENA lane

The corridor we already run.

Karachi is a 5 to 7 day sailing to Jebel Ali on standard liner schedules, 12 to 14 days to Aqaba, and 18 days to Port Sudan. The MENA buyers we ship to consolidate orders into FCL containers and clear at the destination port with their own broker, or take CIF and let us handle freight forwarding to the port of landing.

We do not charge a regional surcharge for MENA shipments. The factory floor is the same one that supplies UN-system responses, and the production cost is the same regardless of the destination region. The difference is the freight line and the documentation set.

What MENA buyers ask first

Four answers for the MENA procurement officer.

First: which products move into MENA most consistently. The mix that ships into the region in volume is camping and event canvas tents, ridge tents for training camps, truck tarpaulin for fleet operators, and PVC sheeting for warehousing. Relief and field-hospital configurations also move, primarily through humanitarian operators routing supply from MENA into Syria, Yemen, Sudan, and Gaza responses.

Second: payment terms. Standard is 30% advance against signed PO, 70% against bill of lading copy. Established repeat customers move to open account on signed quarterly call-offs. Letter of credit at sight is standard for first-time buyers above $50,000 container value.

Third: documentation. Commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin (Form A or chamber-stamped), and lot certificates for canvas weight, FR treatment, and PVC welding. The full file ships with the consignment, not on request after.

Fourth: distributorship. We support single-country distributors in GCC, Levant, and North Africa with single-source pricing and lead-time priority. The default structure is open. We convert to single-country sole-supply on signed annual volume commitment.

MENA deployment context

Where BNC bulk consignments have gone.

UAE consolidator hub

Multiple distributor and humanitarian-operator consolidators in Jebel Ali Free Zone import containers from Karachi and re-distribute across GCC, Levant, and East Africa. 5-7 day sailing is the operative reason the corridor works.

Türkiye-Syria response

Airlifted consignments into Adana within 72 hours during the February 2023 earthquake response. Onward distribution by Kızılay and IFRC. Sea-freight follow-on via Mersin.

Sudan + cross-border Chad

Active Karachi → Port Sudan corridor as of the 2025-26 Sudan displacement response. 18-day sailing on standard liners, airlift via Saudia or Ethiopian Cargo at 48-72 hours.

UN-system responses across MENA

Plastic-sheeting and tarpaulin consignments deployed across UNHCR, ICRC, IFRC, Oxfam, IOM, and partner-INGO operations in the region. Same factory floor, same quality file.

FAQ

MENA bulk-supply questions.

How long is Karachi to Jebel Ali sailing?

5 to 7 days on standard liner schedules. The fastest sailings hit Jebel Ali on day 5; consolidator-route sailings via Salalah land day 7.

FOB Karachi or CIF MENA port?

Either. Distributors with their own freight forwarder typically take FOB. Procurement teams routing through agency logistics take CIF. We don't charge a markup on freight under CIF.

Do you support single-country sole-supply distributorship in MENA?

Yes, on signed annual volume commitment. Open distribution is the default structure.

What payment terms for first-time MENA buyers?

30% advance / 70% against B/L copy for orders under $50,000. Letter of credit at sight standard above that threshold for first-time buyers.

Do you ship into Yemen, Syria, or Gaza-routing responses?

Yes, via established humanitarian-operator consolidators in UAE and Jordan. Direct shipment requires the requesting agency's logistics clearance.

What documentation ships with the consignment?

Commercial invoice, packing list, B/L, certificate of origin, and lot certificates for canvas weight, FR treatment, and PVC welding. Full file ships with the consignment.
